Ballast compatible and Ballast Bypass LED Tubes

Ballast compatible and Ballast Bypass LED Tubes

Ballast compatible and Ballast Bypass 120-347V Led Tubes Retrofit are offered by Fotonz to assist our customers. Ballast compatible LED tube lamps and Ballast-bypass LED tubes are two options that end users look at when replacing fluorescent tubes.

Ballast-compatible LED tube lamps are a replacement for fluorescent tube lamps. They can replace fluorescent tube lamps without change being made to the circuit on the lighting fixture. However, something to be considered is that the ballast uses a lot of extra power.

Ballast-bypass LED tubes do not require a ballast. For the ballast-bypass LED tubes to operate the existing ballast in a fixture must be removed.  Removing or bypassing the fluorescent ballasts will require a licensed electrician but it is worth it to the end user because it removes the concern of failed ballasts. These tubes only need to be replaced after they die which is usually 50,000 hours.

Note: Please note that LDCs will only process applications for LED Type B where satisfactory documentation confirms the TLED product is “double-ended” and listed under UL code UL1598c.  Fotonz Type B (Ballast Bypass) LED T8 meet the requirements.
